Every other February, Folkestone Fringe works with locals partners and curators to bring a three-day festival to the town that reaches across traditional forms of music to the fringes of sound-art, and loaded with some of the most diverse artists, practitioners, and workshops in the world today. Profound Sound continues to grow and build, in terms of bringing a truly alternative music offering to the South East.
Profound Sound is curated by Folkestone Fringe, Hot Salvation & other varying labels / practitioners. The festival is an opportunity for musicians and performers from all backgrounds - residents and visitors alike - to spend time together hearing, learning and trying new things.
We produce a weekend of impeccable music and a whole heap of workshops, talks, and performances during the day where you can work, play, experiment and interact alongside the artists on our programme. This is a true gem of a festival with an always incredible line-up of talent to liven up the darkest days of winter.
