Come along to a writing workshop with Kerry Ryan (Write Like a Grrrl) and Charlotte Forfieh and try your hand at exercises and prompts centered on strong women characters. We’ll read excerpts from a wide range of short stories and novels and see how the authors have created interesting, nuanced, distinctive characters and identify any tips and tricks we might magpie and apply to our own writing. We’ll also look at creating kick-ass women characters ourselves, so please bring a pen and something to write on. No experience necessary.
