Slumbering Himerope is a data-driven interactive digital art installation that presents a dynamic display of this evolutionary narrative by visualizing data from the calcium carbonate profiles of the chalk sub-group strata near Dover.The technical design of the project consists of two parts: the main visualization module and the interactive module,which are visualized and driven by Touch Designer and Houdini.

The moving image work will be screened alongside a DJ set by Folkestone-based pianist and sound artist Johnny Tomlinson is a Folkestone-based pianist and sound artist, as part of Quarterhouse Lates, during the SALT + EARTH Festival launch.


Accessibility: Quarterhouse aims to be accessible to all, offering a varied programme of events, catering for all of our customers' needs. It is a wheelchair accessible venue with ground floor spaces available for seated performances and two balcony wheelchair spaces available for standing events. Quarterhouse is fitted with a Hearing Loop System. We recommend getting in contact with us prior to booking or on arrival so we can assist you with the best seats for the system. Quarterhouse has a lift for accessing all floors, including the bar, toilets, and balcony. Toilets are fully wheelchair accessible and can be found on the ground and first floor.
