Oliver Enwonwu’s work explores liminality and how ancestral knowledge and metaphysical beliefs inform contemporary identity. In 2024, he was the first recipient of the Akoje Residency, Dumfries House, Scotland, organised through the King’s Foundation.
Enwonwu is a leader in the Nigerian arts and culture sector with over 20 years of experience as a curator, administrator, author and publisher.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a member of the British Art Network and Folkestone Art Society and a trustee of Ethnic Minorities in Canterbury and St Peter’s Methodist Church, Canterbury.
