This exhibition explores the delicate relationship between humans and the natural world—how we shape it, and how it, in turn, shapes us. Through Rob Buchanan’s charcoal and graphite works that echo the mechanical eye of the lens softened by the human hand, and Anna Boggon’s mirror-image artworks, where foliated forms drift between the botanical and the creaturely, the show invites reflection on perception, interconnection, and the imperfect balance between care and control.

Anna Boggon is a multidisciplinary artist working across sculpture, installation, video and painting to explore perception, irony, and the overlooked details of everyday life. Her practice is driven by curiosity and a desire to understand how we construct meaning — not just visually, but spatially and socially. Whether through installation, object, or image, she aims to create work that gently disrupts assumptions, slows down the act of looking, and opens space for humour, tension, and re-interpretation.

Rob Buchanan is a charcoal artist based in Folkestone, creating drawings inspired by nature, memory, and quiet moments. He works mostly in charcoal, graphite, and pastel; materials that reflect his values of simplicity and honesty. Rob's practice is rooted in observation, emotional connection, and a desire to slow down. Whether drawing wildlife or something closer to home, he aims to capture a sense of stillness and presence—reminding us to reconnect with the natural world and our own creative curiosity.
