Love Loves A Challenge

A deconstruction of love, Rovaneche offers up the tension inherent in all romantic relationships. Using unpredictable and distorted forms, he rejects superficial beauty and the apathy which resides alongside it.

Deeply influenced by the contrasting qualities of resilience and self-sacrifice, demonstrated by the women who nurtured him, his work depicts the interminable tension between pain and pleasure/despair, and joy. These emotional polarities are unapologetically illustrated in his figurative expressions, as his lines suggest an impermanence that intentionally unnerves the observer.

Showcasing some new & old work, a Live drawing installation, & accompanied by @dalawax genius music selection. Refreshments kindly provided by @rocksaltfolkestone
