Craig Gell | Pent Happenings

Fri 16, Sat 17, Sun 18 Oct 2020
10:00 – 15:00
Urban Room Folkestone, Tram Road Car Park

In response to the question “What’s happening now, exactly?”, Craig Gell has devised a series of audiovisual works which react to geoscientific data concerning the urban area of Foord. The work investigates the significance of seemingly remote chance events and natural phenomena, and how we interpret the elemental signs in order to predict and prepare for future events. Presented in physical and online exhibition space, the work explores alternative methods of accessing nature and, through interpretation of live and historic data into sound and image, considers how we might facilitate this connection in the digital age.
