An argument between a drum kit and a laptop, the idea for this project came from a desire to see what music could be generated from a drum kit - “could there be freedom whilst still resulting in music that was immediate, engaging and not entirely wanky?” This is Colossal Squid’s path in finding the balance between the immediacy of punk and improv, and the sonic possibilities of electronic music.
