The Hotels Project

16 - 28 sept 2011

Through photography Folkestone Fringe artists examined the form and function of hotels in Folkestone, to approach an understanding of their economic and social relevance to the town, both past and present. This project was born from many hours and many visits. Photography was chosen as it was felt to be the least intrusive way for the people, rituals and act of holidaying to be explored.
