Mel Wrigley: Mass Extinction

THURSDAY 17 SEPTEMBER // 18:00
URBAN ROOM FOLKESTONE
TICKETS £3

There have been five mass extinctions on Earth through geological time and at each one over 75% of all species were lost. It's not always known what caused them, but most had something to do with rapid climate change. The International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species states that about 38% of current species assessed are at threat. Human activity has started the sixth Mass Extinction. Join ecologist Melanie Wrigley, of the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership, to find out what can be done.
