Celebrate the soft launch of Sarah Carpenters new space FORTH WALL FOLKESTONE with the opening of 'EMERGING' exhibition presenting works by Sarah Carpenter.
All the original pieces will be on display alongside a couple of new experimental pieces. There will also be other collections of porcelain pieces, collaged postcards, and other goodies.
Emerging was Sarah Carpenters first self portraiture series following treatment for eating disorders at Maudsley Hospital, first shown in the Long Gallery within the hospital 5 years ago.
"Seeing my body as form within a composition rather than a bunch of faults to be judged by others was a real revelation and a first step on a long journey towards body acceptance."
