Participants will be guided through a series of experimental demonstrations on the Algorithmic approach to creating art. We will create complex patterns and animations which toy with our perception. Our explorations will focus on the importance of creativity within the realm of programming by looking at The Alrogirst art movement and several contemporary artists who use similar technologies. Participants will be familiarised with opensource platforms for devoted to creative coders and the core elements of programming (with javascript). This workshop offers an experimental creative introduction to programming. It’s a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in programming within the creative arts (web, games, or other).
